Summary:

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences invites applications for a full-time tenured-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in Pharmaceutics/Physical Pharmacy. The candidate will serve as part of a multi-disciplinary team with responsibilities for teaching in undergraduate, PharmD and graduate-level pharmaceutical science courses. The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences with its model programs in pharmacy education offers the PharmD degree as well as unique Bachelors and Masters programs in both Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Research.

Core Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will establish an active, independent research program, which incorporates undergraduate and graduate research training.
  • The successful candidate will also assist in advancement of the Pharmaceutical Education and Research Center (PERC), which conducts contract, applied, and basic research for biopharmaceutical R&D.

Education and Experience:

  • The successful candidate should have a PhD in Industrial Pharmacy or Pharmaceutics with experience in Industrial Pharmacy.
  • Teaching and postdoctoral research experiences or significant experience in industrial pharmacy are required.
  • A degree in Pharmacy is desirable.
