The VCU School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacotherapy & Outcomes Science, is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Health Outcomes Research. Qualified applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in health outcomes or a related discipline, or a Pharm.D. with sufficient research experience. A record of research and scholarship, and teaching experience is preferred. A background in pharmacy is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate must establish a nationally recognized and funded research program with a record of publication in refereed journals.

The successful applicant will join other scientists, clinicians, and educators in the Department of Pharmacotherapy & Outcomes Science and work with the Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation to evaluate innovative and sustainable interprofessional practice models. In addition, the individual will educate and mentor M.S., Ph.D., and Pharm.D. students and provide service to the department, school, and community. Candidates with expertise and experience in analyzing large data sets and/or practice-based research and collaboration with health care clinics or health systems are highly desirable.

Virginia Commonwealth University is located in historic Richmond, Virginia, approximately two hours from Washington, D.C., Virginia beaches, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Currently ranked #17 in the country by U.S. News & World Report, the School of Pharmacy offers a four-year Pharm.D. program located on the Medical College of Virginia Campus and two satellite campuses in Northern Virginia and Charlottesville, Virginia.

The successful candidate should have experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or commitment to do so as a faculty member of VCU.
