Full-Time Faculty College of Pharmacy
Associate Dean for Academic Affairs

Fullerton, California – Marshall B. Ketchum University, a private not for profit health care professions university, is currently seeking a full-time Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for its new College of Pharmacy. The College is dedicated to excellence in education, service to the community, and research/scholarship. Working together with an outstanding leadership team, the faculty member will realize the College’s goal of reimagining the future of health care with an emphasis on advanced pharmacy practice skills, clinical medicine, and interprofessional education.

JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs serves the Dean as the chief administrative officer for executing the curricular plan and assessing the outcomes of the students in the MBKU College of Pharmacy. The Associate Dean will provide planning, leadership, direction and review of the student learning and advancement within the College of Pharmacy. The Associate Dean is also responsible for maintaining a culture and environment of innovative high quality student centered dynamic learning. The Associate Dean, through collaboration with the Dean, faculty and other members of the administrative team will ensure a progressive high quality education and educational environment that consistently exceeds accreditation standards. The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs will also provide leadership of the Interprofessional Education curriculum within the College of Pharmacy, ensuring curricular collaboration with other educational units within the University.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Terminal degree (e.g., PharmD or PhD). Documented experience and accomplishments in teaching and scholarship at a level appropriate for appointment as an Associate, or Full Professor.
  • Prior experience and strong leadership skills demonstrated in a college of pharmacy.
  • High degree of knowledge of current professional trends in the pharmacy profession.
  • Strong oral communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of employees and students; strong teambuilding skills.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and manage multiple priorities.
  • Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, professional and flexible.
  • Record of experience and/or participation in Interdisciplinary Professional Education (IPE), preferably within a health sciences center, healthcare system, or integrated healthcare setting.
  • Track record of institutional development, fund raising and a commitment to building a culture of philanthropy.
