The Pharmacology and Therapeutics of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) at UAE University wishes to appoint a full-time faculty member to contribute to the teaching and research activities associated with the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program part of CMHS Graduate Programs. It’s likely the appointment will be at the rank of Instructor. We are looking to appoint a suitable candidate with training, experience and achievements in the area of clinical pharmacy. Candidates should have a track record in teaching and as a preceptor of pharmacy students in a clinical setting. Furthermore, they should have conducted, supervised, and published research findings associated with field of clinical pharmacy. The successful candidate will contribute mainly to the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program’s teaching, and professional training of its students. The successful candidate will have administrative duties including; curriculum management and improvement, proctoring examinations, contributing to both course and student assessments. In addition, the candidate will be expected to further develop clerkship sites for the pharmacy students as well as monitor student progress during time of clerkship training. The successful candidate will be a key link in developing networking opportunities with hospitals and other healthcare facilities both for training of students and implementing research projects in clinical pharmacy.
The College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) was founded in 1986 with the mission to "improve the health and wellbeing of the UAE population by delivering cutting edge undergraduate and graduate medical education, advanced research and clinical services that meet the best international standards" and is recognized by the UK General Medical Council. English is the language of instruction. The CMHS is housed in a purpose building, a well-equipped and state-of-the-art facility in the oasis city of Al Ain, adjacent to the Hajar Mountains and Oman. Abu Dhabi City (160 km) and Dubai City (140 km) are connected to Al Ain by modern motorways.
