Position is non-tenure track, full -time 12 month appointment. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Position is a shared internal medicine appointment with Cabell Huntington Hospital and as such will provide patient-centered, evidence-based clinical pharmacy services to the clinical site including patient education, therapeutic drug monitoring, educational in-services, medication therapy consults, quality assurance activities (MUE, measures of clinical pharmacist’s impact on medication therapy etc.), establish a practice setting suitable for training Doctor of Pharmacy students (both IPPEs and APPEs) as well as residents. Further responsibilities include both didactic teaching and hands on simulations; academic advising of students; participation in ongoing curriculum development and assessment, committee work at both the college and university level; and scholarly/research activity in the candidate’s area of expertise.

Required qualifications

Pharm.D. degree, completed at least a PGY 1 residency or have equivalent clinical experience; must be licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of West Virginia or eligible for licensure in West Virginia; Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification preferred.
