The Assistant Research Professor will teach medical pharmacology and conduct independent/collaborative research in biomedical/pharmaceutical science and engineering. He/she will establish strong partnerships for solving fundamental and applied problems within his/her areas of expertise, present research findings in refereed publications and scientific conferences, secure extramural funding, and demonstrate commitment to excellence in WWAMI medical education.
PhD in biomedical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated expertise in biomedical/pharmaceutical science and engineering through research and practice
Demonstrated commitment to quality in teaching and advising
Demonstrated involvement in multidisciplinary research and educational opportunities
Leadership experience or evidence in the ability to lead a research team
Experience in successful grant-writing and research experience beyond the Ph.D. degree
Experience in medical pharmacology
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
