School of Pharmacy is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time, assistant or associate professor, tenure-track faculty position in Pharmacy Practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: – Assist in the delivery of the PharmD program. – Teach a variety of topics including pharmacotherapeutics. – Develop a practice site at a hospital, ambulatory care clinic or outpatient pharmacy site. – Precept students at the site and develop a program of scholarship as evidenced by attainment of research/training grants and presentation and publication of scholarly work. – Contribute to the service needs of the School, serve on various committees and participate in the accreditation process.

Position Requirements

Education – The successful applicant will possess a Pharm.D. degree with successful completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 accredited residency program or have equivalent clinical training.

Experience – Desirable qualifications include previous teaching experience in a classroom setting or precepting students on rotations. – Completion of a fellowship program of at least two years duration with independent research experience, or previous academic experience in a school of pharmacy. – Practice area specialty in ambulatory care, critical care, cardiology, internal medicine or general medicine is desirable.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations – Applicants must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Georgia.
