Tenure-track positions in Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences seeks applications for up to four (4) full-time, tenure-track assistant or associate professor positions from individuals with a Ph.D, M.D., or equivalent degree and a strong history of scholarly productivity and a commitment to both research and teaching (at the professional and graduate level) in the pharmaceutical sciences. Applicants with postdoctoral training and current extramural funding in the broadly defined areas of immunology, biotechnology and molecular pharmacology are especially preferred. The successful applicants are expected to teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy program and establish an innovative, robust, externally-funded research program that addresses significant biomedical questions related to the Pharmaceutical Sciences. Faculty in the department engage in teaching, research and service, and the successful candidates will participate in outstanding graduate training programs (MS and PhD candidates) in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacodynamics. The successful candidates will have excellent opportunities to develop collaborative interactions with the School’s Moulder Center for Drug Discovery Research, the Proteomics facility, the Jayne Haines Center for Pharmacogenomics and Drug Safety, and the Current Good Manufacturing Practices Facility as well as, research institutes / centers and departments within Temple University.
