The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Dean, Albany Campus.
This leadership position is a full-time, 12 month, Non-tenure-track Faculty Appointment at the rank of Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor, in the Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy.
Position Description: The Albany Campus is one of several regional campuses that will participate in the College’s 2+2 Pharm.D. Program. Pharmacy Students will be based on the Albany campus to complete their third and fourth years.
The successful applicant will provide vision and leadership for the Albany campus and foster excellence in education, practice, research and service among fellow Faculty Members, Pharmacy Residents and Students.
Clinical practice and scholarship is expected in the person’s area of expertise.
The campus is located on Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital (PPMH) property and offers exceptional opportunities for clinical practice, service-learning, scholarship, postgraduate training and multidisciplinary education.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold Pharm.D.s or other advanced degrees and have administrative and clinical practice experience.
The successful candidate must become licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.
Description of Institutions/Organizations: The College of Pharmacy was founded in 1903 and is the only School of Pharmacy in the University System of Georgia. The Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy maintains Clinical Faculty in Athens, Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah and Albany and Research Faculty in Athens and Augusta. The Department has a Graduate Program (Ph.D.) in Pharmacy Care Administration and Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics, as well as Postgraduate Year One and Two Residency Programs in Community Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, Pediatrics and Ambulatory Care. PPMH is a premier, not-for-profit, 460 bed, acute care hospital, that delivers high quality care and services to the citizens of Southwest Georgia. Regional campuses for the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine and the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy make up the PPMH Campus.
