Assistant, Associate, Full Professor (Tenure-Track)
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the level of assistant, associate or full professor with research interests in pharmaceutical biotechnology. Candidates will be expected to develop and maintain an internationally competitive, extramurally funded research program and contribute to teaching at both the Pharm.D. and Ph.D. levels in the SSPPS. Faculty rank and salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering, biochemistry, biophysics or a related discipline, and an established record of excellence. Successful candidates will bring innovative, molecular-level approaches to characterizing and understanding therapeutic macromolecules. Potential research areas include, but are not limited to, addressing protein folding, stability and aggregation, bioengineering of pharmaceutical macromolecules, or high-concentration behavior of complex biologics. Approaches using novel or emerging technologies, such as machine learning/AI, bioinformatics-aided design and synthetic biology, or single-molecule methods are encouraged. Such individuals will complement existing research efforts in protein structure and stability, enzymology, macromolecular interactions and physical virology.
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a research-intensive and collaborative environment focused in the areas of pharmaceutical biotechnology, toxicology, biophysics, nanomedicine and nanosafety, cancer pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, systems biology and clinical/translational sciences.
