The University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy is recruiting for a Chair to lead the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics (DPET). The Division is one of five in the School and has a mission to generate new knowledge in pharmacotherapy and accelerate its application to improve patient care. DPET is composed of 31 full-time faculty who lead collaborative clinical and translational research programs in areas including precision health, quantitative systems pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, and experimental therapeutics. Therapeutic areas of strength include oncology, cardiology, infectious diseases, and immunology.
The Chair will direct innovative and diverse teaching and research initiatives of the Division, which include the Pharm.D. curriculum, the Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences graduate program, and a variety of postdoctoral Fellowship programs. The DPET Chair serves on the Executive Committee of the School of Pharmacy. The successful candidate should have Pharm.D. or Ph.D. training, evidence of sustained excellence in scholarship, as well as leadership and management experience.
