Full-time, 9-month, Tenure-track Assistant Professor, UWSoP, College of Health Sciences, University of Wyoming, beginning August 2020
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SCHOLARSHIP – Develop a research program that aligns with the goals of The University of Wyoming’s School of Pharmacy, which are to foster and conduct high-quality research that generates and translates scientific findings into meaningful innovations in healthcare, and positively impacts the health and well-being of the communities we serve. The ideal applicants would be working in areas that include, but are not limited to: program evaluation, curriculum assessment, and accreditation review.
TEACHING – Provide quality instruction in areas of assessment, healthcare informatics, pharmacy practice management, marketing and finance, and/or pharmacy law. The actual teaching assignments will be made based on faculty experience and expertise.
SERVICE – Participate in UWSoP program development; advise/mentor students; provide service to the UWSoP, college, university, state, and profession
Opportunities exist for collaborations at The University of Wyoming and the College of Health Sciences. The successful candidate will have evidence of assessment experience, which may include program evaluation, curriculum assessment, and/or accreditation review. Candidates with a pharmacy or health sciences background are preferred.
Assistant professors shall normally hold the terminal qualification in their discipline (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., MFA, etc.), and shall have demonstrated ability, through appropriate experience, to perform the functions of the position they are to hold.
Completion of a Ph.D. in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (or related field) by August 2020 or have an
earned doctorate in Social and Administrative Pharmacy or a related field
Evidence of a research track record or potential research stream
Evidence of or potential for effective university teaching

Ability to engage in assessment activities at the School of Pharmacy
Ability to teach courses in the social and administrative sciences curriculum
Evidence of successful grantsmanship
Excellent written, verbal & nonverbal communication and collaborative skills that facilitates an inclusive,
diverse, equitable, and all-around positive environment
National participation in professional associations
Ability to contribute to the service mission of the university
Potential for collaborative research, teaching and service within and outside the University
