SGC-UNC is looking to hire a postdoctoral associate interested in developing their skills in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology. This scientist will join a multidisciplinary team working to develop chemical probes, bioassays, and new target discovery projects for the understudied "dark" proteome. Candidates will be expected to carry out multi-step syntheses of small molecules that will be used to develop structure-activity relationships with target proteins. All research will be conducted in an Open Science laboratory to facilitate rapid publication, presentation, and sharing of data.
Educational Requirements: PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related field.
Qualifications and Experience: Qualified applicants must have experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
