Position Summary

The Talkington Lab for Computational Pharmacokinetics in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University at Buffalo is looking for a motivated Postdoctoral Associate to drive projects pursuing the development of therapies through computational methods. Ideal candidates will have either a strong computational background with a desire to branch into pharmaceutical applications, or a strong experimental background with a desire to learn computational techniques.

Job Duties will included:
    • Model development, model testing, and manipulating large data sets
    • Data generation and hypothesis testing
    • May include cell culture, animal models, and assays such as ELISA or HPLC

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in related field, such as Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Quantitative Systems Pharmacology, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, Pharmacy, or Pharmacology.
  • Understanding of mathematics through calculus and/or knowledge of basic coding and statistics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic mathematical and coding skills
  • Strong desire to bridge computational modeling and pharmaceutical sciences

Physical Demands

Physical demands of experimental work may include remaining in a stationary position for up to several hours and moving up to 20lbs.
