Assistant/Associate/ Professor of Pharmacy Practice – Ambulatory Care
The St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12 month non-tenure track appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice.
All faculty members are responsible for creating and delivering instruction in the pharmacy practice curriculum. Faculty will also develop and maintain a model ambulatory care clinical practice site located in Central New York. The site will serve as an experiential training location for the IPPE/APPE rotation students. In addition, consistent with the student centered philosophy of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, faculty members will be engaged in advising and service at the school, college and community levels. Participation in scholarship will be encouraged.
The Wegmans School of Pharmacy has partnerships with local hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies in the central New York region and have established stimulating and innovative clinical practice opportunities. Faculty members are expected to become an integral part of the pharmacy and patient care teams at their practice sites, and to be responsible and accountable for the medication therapy outcomes of the patients they serve.
Qualified applicants will hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and will be eligible for licensure in the state of New York.; will have completed a minimum of one year of residency with a preference for PGY-2 training in Ambulatory Care or equivalent clinical experience. Previous academic or precepting experience is highly desirable. Successful candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong desire to contribute to the growth and development of the school in an innovative, thoughtful, and enthusiastic manner.
