The Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy is growing its program by actively recruiting a 12-month, tenure track appointment at the Assistant or Associate level.
The UK College of Pharmacy seeks to grow the research enterprise by strategically investing in the area of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy within the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science and the Institute for Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy (IPOP). IPOP is an applied health services research center focused on the intersection of pharmaceutical/health policy and health outcomes, analysis of big data, and population health improvement.
We seek to establish a faculty position in pharmaceutical outcomes and policy to develop and maintain an independent research program in an outcomes research area (pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, biomedical informatics, or pharmaceutical and health policy). The position will also serve as Associate Director of IPOP. The administrative leadership component of the position will contribute to the public profile of IPOP through teaching, scholarship, and participation and engagement in related initiatives focused on improving the cost effectiveness, quality and value of health care.
Successful candidates must have earned a Ph.D. or other advanced degree (MD or PharmD) in a related field. Required experience also includes a developing or sustained record of scholarly achievement in pharmaceutical/health outcomes and policy, and a strong track record of acquiring extramural research funding or potential to acquire extramural funding.
