Position is a non-tenure track, full-time, 12 month appointment.
Position is a shared position with Cabell Huntington Hospital’s Family Medicine Service and as such will provide a patient-centered, evidence-based clinical pharmacy services to the clinical site including patient education, therapeutic drug monitoring, educational in-services, medication therapy consults, quality assurance activities (MUE, measures of clinical pharmacist’s impact on medication therapy, etc.), establish a practice setting suitable for training doctor of Pharmacy students (both IPPEs and APPEs) as well as residents. Further responsibilities include both didactic teaching and hands on simulations; academic advising of students; participation in ongoing curriculum development and assessment; committee work at both the college and university level; and scholarly/research activity in the candidates’ area of expertise.
Required Qualifications: PharmD degree, completed at least a PGY 1 residency or have equivalent clinical experience; must be licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of West Virginia or eligible for licensure in West Virginia; Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be willing to provide service to the college/university, the community and the profession. Ability to develop a clinical practice site upon appointment and direct patient-centered care is required.
