The College of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky is recruiting broadly for a 12-month, tenure-eligible appointment with an anticipated Fall 2024 start date. We seek candidates with diverse backgrounds and practice experiences who can contribute to student success in academic education and help grow our translational research program portfolio. Special consideration will be given to candidates whose research interests complement the University’s and/or College’s signature existing and emerging research themes (including substance use disorders, infectious diseases, cancer, neurological disorders, metabolic syndrome, and immune modulation of disease).

Candidates must possess a pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD). Advanced clinical training is preferred, but not required. All career levels of experience should apply; preference will be given to assistant professor candidates who have evidence projecting outstanding scholarship, research productivity, and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in research, teaching, and service. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an extramurally funded, nationally recognized, collaborative research program. Opportunities for clinical practice engagement that are complementary to the candidate’s scholarship focus are plentiful at UK Healthcare and in the community. The selected candidate will also be expected to contribute to the teaching, advising, and mentoring of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), undergraduate, and graduate students in a manner that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion. This job description provides a portrait of an ideal candidate. Candidates who possess many, though perhaps not all, qualifications are encouraged to apply.

The University of Kentucky, the College of Pharmacy, and the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Sciences are strongly committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Therefore, we highly encourage applications from and nominations of candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups.
