    The University at Buffalo (UB) School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) is seeking two tenure track faculty members at the associate or full professor level to lead two divisions within the UB School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. These divisions provide disciplinary visibility along with a strong foundation to enhance creativity and productivity, allowing the school to achieve its strategic goals. These divisions support the expansion of research, graduate and professional degree programs and the advancement of applied therapeutics.

    The Division Head Positions are available in the following focus areas:


    • Pharmaceutical Sciences

    • Pharmacokinetics-Pharmacodynamics and Systems Pharmacology

    • Drug Delivery and Pharmaceutical Bioengineering



    Research specialty/focus areas:
    Protein engineering; pharmaco-engineering and materials science; biologically based drug delivery; pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling; pharmacometrics; quantitative systems pharmacology; clinical pharmacology.

    Divisional Leadership Responsibilities:
    Provide strategic leadership and engage faculty and other stakeholders in realizing the SPPS strategic plan with a focus on the advancement of the research and educational mission of the School. Serve as primary representative of the Division in all school related activities and advise the department chair on all divisional personnel and finance activities.

    Scholarship/Research Responsibilities:
    Faculty members will develop and engage in independent and collaborative scholarly activities in their relevant area of expertise. Collaborative scholarship is strongly encouraged among faculty colleagues within the school and across the university.

    Teaching Responsibilities:
    Faculty members will contribute to one or more of the school’s degree programs (PharmD, PhD, MS, or BS) based on area of specialization and alignment with course delivery needs.

    Service Responsibilities:
    Service activities include service to the department, school, and university (i.e., through active participation on committees), as agreed to with the department chair.
