Altomare provides training and support on the isolation of DNA and RNA from difficult samples and assesses quality of isolated nucleic acids. Other areas of expertise include fragment analysis, Sanger and next generation sequencing. He is interested in performing and providing support to UofSC and other scientists to conduct genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics and functional genomics research projects. Altomare brings new state of the art technologies to the facility.
