My current research efforts are focused in anticonvulsant and antitubercular drug design based on structure based drug design and rational approach for development of new drugs. Drug design and synthesis of Anticonvulsant and Antitubercular drugs: (Aryl hydrazones, thiosemicarbazone, semicarbazones, schiff bases, mannich bases). A detailed research was done on the design and development of novel hydrazones, semicarbazones and thiosemicarbazones as anticonvulsant agents.\n\n3. The research is also focused on extraction, isolation and biological evaluation of drugs of natural origin. To name some of them: Syzygium cumini, Cinnamon zeylanicum, Piper nigrum, Bryophyllum calycinum salisb, Ageratum conyzoides linn.
