The School of Pharmacy at Duquesne University is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time, 12-month tenure-track position in the Division of Pharmaceutical, Social and Administrative Sciences with an expertise in one of the following: socio-behavioral research, pharmacoepidemiology, health outcomes, patient-reported outcomes, health services research, pharmacy management or health policy. The successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in scholarship, innovative teaching, and service and participate in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment with other faculty in the school. Didactic teaching at both the professional (Pharm.D.) and graduate level is required.
Duquesne University’s School of Pharmacy opened in 1925 with an enrollment of just 50 students in a few rooms of Canevin Hall. Today, the School of Pharmacy enrolls more than 1,000 students in its six-year Pharm.D. program, nearly 130 in its weekend program, 10 post-Pharm.D. fellows and residents, and 65 M.S. and Ph.D. students. Nearly 100 percent of Duquesne student pharmacists have gained immediate placement in employment and advanced studies for more than two decades and have been given preferred status by pharmacy employers.

REQUIREMENTS OF WORK:
The successful candidate should possess a Ph.D. in social/behavioral, administrative and health management sciences, public health, or health outcomes. Additional Pharm. D. with advanced training in a social or administrative discipline (e. g., fellowship in pharmacy administration, pharmacoepidemiology or health outcomes) can be considered. A professional degree in a health-related discipline is desirable but not required. Applicants that are ABD will also be considered. Applicants with skills in statistics and/or programming (SAS, STATA, R) or work with large databases (claims, EMR or public) are desired.
