The School of Pharmacy at Queen’s has been ranked 2nd in the UK for Pharmacy and Pharmacology according to the Guardian University Guide 2018.

The Research Fellows will be members of a research team led by Professor Ryan Donnelly and will assist in the development and pre-clinical and industrial translation of novel microarray patch delivery systems for long-acting HIV medicines. The successful Research Fellows will assist in the planning and delivery of the research activity so that the overall research objectives of the project are met.

There are two posts available, the first is for 20 months and the second is for 12 months. Additional posts may be filled from this recruitment campaign.

The successful Research Fellows will:

- Have a Degree in Pharmacy (Minimum standard 2.1)
- Have, or about to obtain, a PhD in drug delivery/pharmaceutics
- 3 years recent relevant research experience to include:

  • Recent, relevant, experience in pharmaceutical analysis, including HPLC
  • Knowledge of mass spectrometric detection as used in combination with HPLC Experience of formulation science
  • Knowledge of microneedle array (microarray patch) delivery systems
  • Experience of preparation and characterisation of solid drug nanosuspensions.
  • Experience of conducting in vivo animal experiments to evaluate dosage forms

Salary scale: £33,199 to £38,460 per annum
