Job Information

Duties:
Qualified candidate is needed to fill an opening position in the areas of organic chemistry to support drug discovery efforts. The successful candidate will perform a variety of laboratory duties, including synthesis and semi-synthesis of small molecules and characterization, molecular modeling, and manuscript preparation. The candidate will have to show outstanding productivity through maintaining a good record of publications.

Required experience: Good hand in organic reaction design and execution, chromatography, spectroscopic analysis (HPLC, NMR, Mass Spec). The initial appointment will be for one year. The successful applicant will be assessed for productivity on a bi-annual basis with the option of yearly renewal upon secure funding.

Minimum Education/Experience
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline by the time of the appointment.
