The University of Rhode Island’s Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2024 in the general area of Pharmaceutics. The successful candidate will also have a joint appointment in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the College of Engineering.

Duties and responsibilities:

Develop a vibrant and sustainable independent research program in the broad area of pharmaceutics. Seek extramural funding to support the research program. Publish high-quality research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in the pharmaceutical sciences, Doctor of Pharmacy, and chemical engineering. Participate in developing online Pharmaceutical Science Masters-level courses. Provide advising and research mentorship to undergraduate, professional, and graduate students. Engage in service activities in both Departments and Colleges and provide governance within the University and scientific community.
