ABOUT POSITION Faculty members of Health Sciences – Pharmacology is a full-time faculty of College of Health Sciences and will have the opportunity to work in affiliation with VinUniversity’s Center for Innovations in Health Sciences on AI driven drug repurposing.
Successful candidates are expected to possess a strong academic background or research experience in one or more relevant disciplines, including pharmacogenomics, computational biology, anti-microbial resistance.

A leader in health sciences research, The College of Health Sciences (CHS) pioneers research on immunology, regenerative medicine, precision medicine, population health, systems science, and health technology. Through its partnership with Vinmec, Vietnam’s premier private healthcare system, CHS integrates education, research, and clinical practice via joint research centers and access to real-world clinical data.
Developed in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania, CHS offers internationally accredited curricula (by ACGME, ACEN), distinguished faculty, and modern facilities.
ABOUT INNOVATION IN HEALTH SCIENCES RESEARH CLUSTER
The Innovation in Health Sciences cluster at VinUniversity unites six research centers, advancing stem cell and regenerative medicine, smart health solutions, immunology, and 3D technologies. By integrating biomedical sciences, data-driven health technologies, and population research—and leveraging Vinmec Healthcare’s clinical and data resources—the cluster drives innovations across cancer, aging, mental and environmental health, nutrition, and antimicrobial resistance, translating discoveries into improved health outcomes in Vietnam and globally.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The faculty members will be responsible for three primary responsibilities:
Research
Lead high-impact research with strong translational outcomes and publications in top-tier journals and secure competitive external funding.
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration within and beyond the College through active engagement in academic events.
Contribute to innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer, including commercialization efforts.
Teaching
Develop, plan, and deliver high-quality, accredited curricula for undergraduate and/or graduate programs.
Supervise research students and projects and mentor junior faculty.
Service
Contribute to university service through committee work, faculty recruitment, accreditation, and program development.
Support initiatives aligned with VinUni’s Vision Top 100 and carry out duties assigned by supervisors.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
General Requirements (All Faculty Levels)
Degree: PhD (or equivalent terminal/professional degree) in a relevant discipline from a prestigious university
Teaching: Demonstrated teaching ability and commitment to student-centered, active and authentic learning.
Research: Evidence of scholarly achievement or strong potential through publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals; engagement in international conferences or research collaborations; and commitment to developing an independent, externally funded research program.
Service/Industry Engagement: Experience in multinational, multicultural, or start-up environments is highly valued.
Specific Requirements by Rank
Assistant Professor Postdoctoral or equivalent experience is preferable. Demonstrated potential for high-quality, independent research, and effective teaching. International research engagement is an advantage.
Associate Professor Extensive teaching experience with recognized excellence; sustained record of publications and leadership in the discipline; success in securing research funding as Principal Investigator for at least five years; and active participation in professional societies.
Professor Internationally recognized academic and research leadership; substantial, sustained record of high-impact, funded research for ten years or more; keynote presentations, awards, or honors for research excellence; and distinguished teaching and mentorship experience.
