Dr. Seoane's areas of research interest relate to pharmaceutical economics, regulation and policy at the national and international levels. Dr. Seoane combines an in-depth knowledge of FDA and state regulation and pharmacy practice and extensive experience analyzing FDA’s regulatory actions. He has extensive experience studying the generic drug market, drug utilization, prices and reimbursement, substitution patterns and drug safety using electronic medical records and large administrative claims datasets.
Dr. Seoane has extensive experience in the area of health economics and outcomes research, and assessing the cost-effectiveness of medications and health care interventions to improve patient-level health outcomes while containing the cost of provision of care.
